Have you ever received the Lord Jesus Christ into your heart? You may ask, “Why do I need to ask Jesus to come into my heart?” This is the most important question of your life; your soul is at stake. What value do you put on your soul? The Bible says, "For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?" Mark 8:36

Let's see what the Bible, God's Word, says about this!

“And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” Revelation 20:15

Is your name in this “Book of Life?”  You can know for sure and here is what the Bible says God has done so you can escape the lake of fire.

The Bible Says That All Men Are Sinners.

Notice the word "all." No matter how hard you try not to sin, you still fail, just like everyone else.

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”  Romans 3:23a

God made man in His own image but He gave us a free will. He gave us the ability to choose right from wrong. Unfortunately, we continue to break God's commandments and sin. Because of this, our sin has separated us from a perfect, Holy God.

Most people think, "I'm better than the guy next door." It doesn't matter because no matter how good you think you are, you will always fall "short of the glory of God." God's measurement of holiness is far beyond our ability. You will never attain the "glory of God" on your own. No amount of meditating, prayers or 12 step programs can cleanse you of all your sin.

You Need to Understand The Penalty For Sin.

“For the wages of sin is death;...” Romans 6:23a

Wages means payment for a debt, just like you get wages from your employer for the debt he owes you. But as we see here, according to the Bible, the debt for being a sinner is death. You owe this debt to a Holy God and the payment for being a sinner is death and then hell, separation from God for eternity. If you continue a lifetime of sin then you shall die in your sin and God will collect your debt at the Judgement seat.

"And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgement:" Hebrews 9:27

God is perfect and can not allow sinfulness into His presence. Not even a blemish or spot of sin is permitted in His Heaven.

“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” Revelation 21:8

The sad part is that in order to end up in Hell, you don't have to do anything because going to Hell is the natural consequence  of sin whether we agree with it or not. But the "Good News" is that God has made a way for your sin-debt payment to be completely paid in full. 

Jesus Christ Bought Our "Gift" Of Salvation For Us. 

“...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23b

All of our sin was laid on Jesus Christ. He willingly took your condemnation and guilt. He assumed your place as a sinner. God the Father turned His back on His only Son while Jesus bore your sins on a cross He didn't deserve. Then after 3 days in the grave, as He had promised, He resurrected Himself back to life and walked out of the tomb. Now He is alive forever and takes the place of intercessor between mankind and His Father in Heaven. He is the only eternal Judge and wants to settle your debt before you die. He now offers His payment and gift of "eternal life."

The Gift Is Received By Faith.

What you need to do is decide to accept His payment by faith. The Bible says in Romans 10:13 "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Put your name there, "I" can call upon the name of the Lord and "I" shall be saved. You have God's promise if you only believe His word!

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10:9-10

Notice that "whosoever" means no one is excluded and that includes you, my friend. If you desire, Jesus can wash away a lifetime of sin and guilt. His payment covers all past, present and future sin. One payment for all time. Jesus doesn't need to keep dying over and over to save you and keep you saved.

Let's Pray Right Now And Receive The Gift Of God. 

Ok, so you know you are a sinner. The Bible says so. And Bible says the debt payment for sin is death and the lake of fire. However, Jesus willingly lived a sinless life and took your place on the cross. He paid the penalty for sin for once and for all. 

God has made it so simple. Therefore, to accept the gift from God, with a repentant heart just ask Jesus for it and He will save you.

Bow your head and your heart right where you are. Pray something like this:

"Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and without you I will go to Hell. Please forgive all my sin and come into my heart and save me. I believe you died on the cross for me and you rose again. Take me to Heaven when I die. Help me now to live for you from this day forward as your child. Thank you for your gift of salvation!  In Jesus Name, AMEN."

You Can Now Begin Your New Life! 

Everlasting life begins when Jesus saves you and He becomes your Savior. The Bible refers to His children as "Born Again" because they have been born spiritually into God's kingdom-family. Your burden of sin has been removed and you can now have victory over sin in your life as you've never had before.

But you cannot make it alone! Jesus has given us the church till He comes again. Your local Bible-Believing assembly is where you need to be. Jesus knows we need each other as He promised, "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." Matthew 18:20. Join your local independent Baptist church.
